The air-conditioning units that were fully funded by the Gambling Community Benefit Fund have now been completely installed and are working to the benefit of our members. The contract for the installation is now complete and all monies have been paid to the contractors involved. |

This project has been completely funded by the Queensland’s Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund, the value of this grant was $24,039.00 and we are most grateful for their assistance in enabling the completion of this project. The switching on ceremony was conducted by Ken Martin; present were approximately 50 members of the Mackay Choral Society along with five other persons who are working with the society with various projects. |

The Mackay Choral Society will no doubt gained many future benefits from this project, as in the past we may have had a reluctance of members to come along and endure the heat of Midsummer evenings. In addition to this we feel that we will gain an increase membership as a result of having a modern air-conditioned rehearsal venue. |
